Amakati Report – 3 August 2016

Dear Amakati,

Report on Amakati sailing exploits this past weekend

Oyster Box offshore race for Keeler’s Sunday 31st July.

What a fantastic day sailing! We had 2 Halcats, 1 Dart Cat rig and 1 Dart Spinnaker sailing with the fleet of Keelboats and Micro Multihulls that participated. A total of 21 boats sailed the race. I was sailing the Dart with spinnaker and managed to take “line honours” ahead of Bellatrix finishing 2 minutes behind me with the Tri-maran “Ladybird taking third on line a minute after Bellatrix.

Many thanks to all those involved in the Race Management for their commitment to race management. On Bridge was Carol, Jennifer and Hans, on mark laying was Glen Smith and on catamaran support boat was Alec Mc Namara and Moses.

See results per division on corrected time on the web.

Forthcoming Events.

SAS KZN Grand Slams, Saturday 6th August to Tuesday 9th August 2016

A reminder that this event is scheduled over the 4 days as stated above. Tuesday is a public holiday.

Halcats will sail under the RNYC Bridge in the Harbour and Darts and Hobies will sail under the PYC Bridge offshore. Should be a great event!

NOR is posted on Notice Board or on the website.
