Message from the Bridge

After several years of dedicated and loyal service with a steady hand on the helm and in the galley our very familiar and much loved Club Manager Mr Steve Rawlins has decided that it is now time to stand down and enjoy a well deserved retirement.  On behalf of all the members we wish Steve and his wife Christine all the very best for the future.  We are very grateful for the many long hours spent tending to the needs of our members and their guests including the many visiting international yachtsmen who have found the RN to be a home from home while on their travels. We shall certainly miss Steve’s friendly disposition and standards in the Food & Beverage department; however we look forward to welcoming him back to the Club and enjoying his company as an ordinary member.

We are pleased to announce that Meleney Cunniff has now officially come on watch as the Club Manager taking over from Steve and we welcome Meleney onboard and to the helm. Meleney is no stranger to the Club and has enjoyed a long association with the RNYC during her career in the hotel industry. Along with her sailing experience and strong managerial skills Meleney has extensive experience in the hospitality industry with a passion for the Food & Beverage department. Meleney has an unstoppable passion for food, flavours, service and is a renowned Cafe Society Awards judge with a special interest in producing the finest cup of coffee. Members can certainly look forward to some exciting enhancements to our existing offering.
