The Britannia Room
Open for lunches and dinners, the Britannia Room is situated on the upper level of the Club. While this is our more formal dining area, the atmosphere is still relaxed with an informal dress code in modern-day yachting tradition. The view from the room over the Durban Marina, with the City in the background, is one of the best in town. The Britannia opens out onto a comfortable deck, which offers the diner a view over the Club lawns of the ever-changing panorama of the Durban Harbour, Africa´s busiest Port.
The ever-popular Sunday Carvery offers diners a sumptuous all-you-can-eat experience, and includes seafood and cold meats and salad starters, our world-renowned curries, three different carved meat dishes with fresh veggies, a choice of desserts and a selection of cheeses and biscuits. Booking for the Sunday carvery is essential. Our wine list is extensive, and specials are the order of the day.
The Lower Deck
The Club´s Lower Deck is very informal, ideal for social or business meetings. Breakfasts are scrumptious, snacks are available all day long, and lunches and dinners compete with the best in Durban. The Lower Deck opens up onto the lawns, so when the weather is good (and in Durban it invariably is) alfresco is the way to go.
Nowhere else in the City can one relax on a lawn looking out over Durban Harbour. An ideal place to spend a few hours, whether chilling out after spending time on the water, or just enjoying an informal breakfast, lunch, dinner or a braai. The view at night, with a myriad of lights twinkling in the water, is a never-to-be-forgotten experience.
The Ala Carte menu applies.
Braai packs are available from the Galley consisting of either 2 meat or 3 meat packs and of course the cost of the braai pack includes a selection of “as much salad and bread rolls as you can eat!”
