Ahoy there Sailors – how’s it blowin ?

Can you believe we have two more Wednesday evening sails hosted by RNYC –  Next one 30th November  and then our Christmas Carol evening on 14th December.

We have been very lucky with the weather on Wednesdays with RNYC having 4 good races in and unfortunately, PYC have had bad weather and shipping movement interrupting them, allowing them only one race to count.

The Sailwave handicap system seems to be working well.  Thank you to Ron Pet for showing Jennifer and Hemraj the ropes.

Our sponsors, Standard Bank, have been awesome with joining in with sailing and bringing lovely prizes to the lucky sailors –  Standard Bank have also sponsored the Wednesday Night Fun Tee Shirt, and all I ask is that each sailor pay R20 per race, which goes into our CANSA fund – I don’t think it is too much to ask.   Please speak to me if you have any queries.  Our challenge is still on between the yachts to raise the bar this year, having made R34,108 last year.

On 14th December –  our “Christmas Carol”  evening, please dress your boats, yourselves in the Christmas theme:  Rob Main Baillie is on board to make it a memorable evening in the music dept. Santa Claus will be there and his helpers an Elf and a Fairy –   guess who – so lots of fun in store.

Last year I asked everyone for toys for children but this year I am asking for donations into the CANSA Christmas box in lieu of toys/gifts – let’s show how RNYC give back to the community.

See you on the water
