WEDNESDAY NIGHT FUN’D SAILING by Carol Ferguson

Ahoy Sailors

We are really having an exciting time with the weather these days – are we sailing – are we not??;  Sorry guys and gals, RNYC had to call off sailing last night, due to lots of rain and no wind.  It was a mill pond, I’m almost having withdrawal symptoms from not being on the water !!  Never mind

RNYC are hosting an off shore race on Sunday, Hans Dettman and Roy Cook will be looking after you – ENJOY.

20th December, our next RNYC night is our last sail before Christmas – Carol’s Christmas evening when you can dress yourself up in Christmas attire and of course, Dress your boat in any way you like.  Let’s get into the Christmas spirit and hopefully the weather will be kind to us – bring some friends and introduce them to the RNYC family and our excellent hospitality.

We have Father Xmas and his helper together with Rob Main-Baillie to entertain us.  Instead of Santa giving you a present, perhaps you could bring a small toy which we can distribute to children in need.  No pressure.  Thank you.

Shani Hazelhurst, our CANSA fund raising helper, will be there to encourage you to take more raffle tickets – its for a wonderful cause.  Our Vice Commodore has just raised R2000 for Movember – Well done Keith – really appreciate you efforts – thank you.  He will be shaving it off on Saturday afternoon at the Club –

Our Honorary Commodore, Mr Willy van deVerre, will be on Bridge with Hans and the Girls so please look out for him –

 Be safe out there
